When I was in college, I worked at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art. I did everything from processing incoming work and organizing the archives to matting prints and cleaning art that an artist had stored in his barn--think q-tips, distilled water, and owl droppings!
I most enjoyed the preparator's work, installing work for an exhibition. It helped that I liked working with Bruce, who along with being the preparator at the museum was also teaching at my university at the time, but I was also learning invaluable skills for putting up my own shows down the road.
Peggy worked at the museum as well.
