Of the fourteen television news personalities who sat for me for Snow Days, just two were women, Nancy Francis and Shauna Parsons. This under-representation of my sex was not purposeful. Quite the opposite: I invited all the women in the business (there are fewer women than men). I have found this reticence across the board, from death workers to public officials. It is always more difficult to find female models and this is part of the reason why I dedicated a whole series to women in 2007.
