Though all local television news personalities enjoy (or sometimes don't) celebrity status, Paul Linnman is probably the most well known of my Snow Days subjects. In November 1970, he was the reporter on the scene when local authorities decided to blow up a beached whale carcass on the Oregon coast. He covered the resulting mayhem with aplomb. |
