Though all celebrities are the targets of overly-adoring fans, Mark Nelsen had the very best admirer possible: a twelve year old kid. "Weather Boy," as he became known at the station, would call Nelsen to give him hourly updates of the weather near his house! I interviewed a good number of my Snow Days subjects during the December 2003 and January 2004 snow storms. In fact, braving the wild weather to make it to my appointments was part of the reason for naming the series as I did. |
