I went to high school with Joe Sottile's kids. It was this lucky coincidence that made Snow Days possible. People who work in front of the television news camera are a little cagey about their images. They are public personas, and, while it behooves them to be friendly with their constituency (as it were), it is by no means stressed in the same way as it is for a public official. When I invited the news anchors and meteorologists to participate in my series, I was sure to include Sottile as a character reference. |
