Painting big / Peindre en grand
A couple of months ago, I set out to challenge myself with a very large painting, a full-length life size portrait of my partner and myself. I’ve known for a while that I prefer working on my paintings when they’re off the easel and laid on the floor, but it wasn’t until I started to work on this enormous piece that I understood how much I depend on being able to transition smoothly between working vertically and working horizontally. This painting taught me that lesson in a very eloquent way and the video shows it…

Yes, you look adorable!!!
HAHAHA! I LOOOOVE IT! I just watched this video in my school library and started laughing. Girl, I know the feeling. I prefer to only work with super, obnoxiously large canvases, allowing me to practically be covered IN the art. But this has super “huge” problems when it comes to transporting the artwork from one place to another. I have actually had to sell my artwork to the next tenant of a house I was living in because I had no way of getting it to my new place. HAHAHA. Thanks for the demo and I hope you enjoyed working on a larger scale. It definitely is a nice mix-up to same routines. Besos! Love, Char
