The discipline of portraiture / La discipline du portrait

Even as I take a bit of a break from portraiture to work on my next series, the years I spent doing portraiture profoundly affect how I do this very different work.

Même si je fais une petite pause côté portrait pour travailler sur ma prochaine série, les années que j’ai passées à faire des portraits influencent profondément la façon dont je crée ces nouveaux tableaux.

Gwenn,
I’m running a Kickstarter campaign right now. Could you recommend anything for me to do differently?

The most important thing in a Kickstarter campaign or one that’s overlooked easily is the rewards.  This isn’t a PBS telethon: cheap totes and coffee mugs are not going to fly! smile  Make it special.  Is there something you could make individually for each supporter?  It might be a lot of work, but it will be appreciated and people will show the appreciation with dollar bills!  Bon courage!
