Why I don’t shave my legs / Pourquoi je ne me rase pas mes jambes

I know that embracing body hair is something of a statement in our culture, and I mean it that way.

Je sais qu’accepter que j’ai des poils sur mon corps est une sorte de déclaration dans notre culture, et j’accepte mes poils pour faire une déclaration.

For a fun and fascinating tour through the history of body hair culture, I recommend this video of a talk my partner did for a green design conference.

Nice!  Enchantée de te rencontrer (du moins virtuellement)!

Chris Harris...

Listening to some of your vimeo’s this evening (that I also passed on to my sixteen year old daughter to listen to) I was struck by how pleased I was to listen to your ideas.  More, perhaps ... I confess that I was proud to see someone who briefly crossed my path during her time at Willamette, and even more briefly flirted with theatre, and now was such an open, genuine, and articulate artist.  I breathe in your honesty and am grateful for your courage and your willingness to share your work and your ideas.

Fly on!

Thank you.

Thank you, Chris!  My flirtation with theater made me the painter I am today.  I recommend it as a path to aspiring visual artists…!

Take care!
