Goal!
J’ai écrit une version française de cet article aussi.
When I first met my partner, I had a modest career goal. It was so self-conscious that it sounded more like an excuse—like I was trying to explain why I was making any money at all.
My goal pre-David:
I wanted to make enough money with my art in order to keep making art full time.
In other words, I was settling for barely making ends meet and scrounging hearty meals at my parents’ house once a week.

Then one day David pointed out to me that I had already met my goal. I was making a living doing only what I love to do, and it was a meager living, just enough money to keep me and my paintings afloat. He reasoned that it was high time for me to upgrade my goal. I did as he suggested, and before too long I was doing a lot more than barely surviving.
David taught me that goals are not necessarily meant to be reached. They’re meant to be REACHED FOR.

I love your art, Gwenn. Not only because we share similar interests and mediums (portraits, acrylics), but because I envy both your personal style, and how you have been able to achieve your goal: living from your art. I am currently inmerse in this same goal, so let’s see if in some time I can agree with your current post :-D
Again, thanks for sharing your art, and keep on the good work!!!
