PechaKucha (pronounced in 3 syllables “pe-chak-cha”) is a presentation format in which a presenter shows 20 images for 20 seconds each for a total presentation time of 6 minutes and 40 seconds. And that’s just what I did along with nine other speakers last night at Cozmic Pizza in Eugene!

Garron was one of the organizers for the event. Here he was reading an introduction for me which made me blush.

The other presenters were the author Alan Siporin, the architect Scott Clarke, the photographers Ankush Vimawala and Lewis Forquer, the chef Chris Crosthwaite, the molecular biologist Doug Turnbull, the filmakers Pat O’Driscoll and Henry Weintraub, and the ceramic artist Dan Schmitt.  Needless to say, I was very pleased to be included in this group!

The next PechaKucha Night in Eugene will be in January. For more information about it, go here.
