On being picky about who buys my art / Choisir qui peut acheter mon art

I don’t have to reject a lot of clients, because most people who wouldn’t enjoy working with me realize it long before they contact me.

Fred Seigneur...

Love it!! I see we share ideas on intellectual “property”. My goal is to make all the software I create be Open Source. Of course, I don’t get big bucks.

Right now, I’m (temporarily) in a position where all my needs are met. I get a modest retirement from Lockheed Martin, my wife and I both are on Social Security, and she still works. this gives me the freedom to create and connect with others.

Who knows how long this income stream will last. But, for now, I’m using it to do what’s on my heart: to create, from the foundation up, a secure computing infrastructure (SCIF) that can be a safe environment to do trusted processing.

Best wishes,

PS -I just saw a video that I’m sure you will enjoy. It’s called Crossroads: Labor Pains of a New Worldview. Here’s t link:

That’s a neat place to be, and I’m glad you’re taking advantage of it.  I’ll check out the movie when I get a chance.  Looks interesting!

Mary Lonergan...

THANK YOU!!!!!  I get the same advice from ‘well meaning’ people and now just smile and say thanks and continue to share my opinion and my authentic self.  Nothing bad ever comes of that!

When I think about this stuff, I always wonder who is hiding what from me in order to be more amenable.  And then I get a little creeped out.

At least I don’t have to worry about that with you! smile
