If you truly value art, you must also value the artist as a human being. In fact, if you fail to do so, you are missing the point of art.

The double portrait shown here was paid for in trade by someone I’ve known since I was a kid, whereas this commission was paid for in cash and trade by someone I had never met until they approached me with this request. This family portrait was created for a reduced price and is the result of years of sustained and vocal adoration on the part of the client—someone who used to be a stranger and is now a friend.
