Drawing a shark / Dessiner un requin
Because of the move, I haven’t been able to concentrate on my Series X and on anything in the studio for the last two weeks or so. Taking the time to draw again has been most helpful. It’s a meditative activity and one that centers me.
Je viens d’emménager dans mon nouvel appartement, et avec le travail de réinstaller mon atelier ici, je n’ai pas pu de me concentrer sur ma Série X ou sur quoi que ce soit dans le studio pendant les deux dernières semaines. Prendre le temps de dessiner m’a fait du bien. C’est une activité qui m’aide à calmer mon esprit.

Your sketch is of a personable shark as she is smiling.
I have found two new sources of personable animals:
1- Seabiscuit, an American Legend by Laura Hillenbrand is the life story about a famous race horse retrieved by cowboy, trained well, and allowed to win great races based on Seabiscuit’s intelligence and desire.
2- Water for Elephants, a Novel, by Sara Gruen who studied circus elements in depth and wrote a story about a very intelligent (but imaginary) performing elephant “Rosie” based on actual research - with one grand departure for the sake of the story.
