When I was in high school, a dear friend told me that the animal that I most resembled was a unicorn. I didn’t quite know what she meant, but I took it as a compliment. Years later, without knowing what my teenage friend had decided, my partner said to me that I was like a unicorn as well. According to him, I am magical, but very real too. I don’t know about magical, but I definitely am very lucky.
