In 2017, Empathetic Magic was my primary focus, with the first half of the year consumed almost entirely by creating the work and getting it covered by Bust as well as other exciting publications. I still managed to make some paintings outside of the series as well, and this gallery is proof of that!

In March, I traveled to Quebec to speak about copyright and creativity. In April, I managed to publish an article that had previously been censored. In August, the French free culture site Framablog interviewed me and Marie Guibouin of the Pink Power Tour Festival did as well. In September, it was The Filmmakers Podcast and At the Shore, and in December it was Your Creative Push!

It was thoroughly satisfying to find a home for my piece about discrimination in the art world, not only because the censorship of it had been so disappointing but also because the article addresses problems that many prefer to ignore.

At the beginning of 2016, I did my first interview with Youngman Brown of Your Creative Push, and at the end of 2017 I did another, which helped me in a way that I could never have predicted.
