I rediscovered this painting as I was preparing a major overhaul of my site.  There were a few paintings that I hadn’t had on my site for years and the reasoning behind keeping them out of the public eye is unclear to me now—maybe it was a question of space?  Because they weren’t online, I’d mostly forgotten them: it’s sad but true.  Ruth’s portrait is another long lost painting.
