“And before I leave the classroom, I ask ‘do you kids want snow?’”

“The rain helps me appreciate the sunny days that much more.”

“I don’t understand why people have such strong feelings about me one way or the other: they don’t know me so how can they love or hate me?”

“I went into television because I figured I’d always wonder what might have happened if I didn’t.  I did want to be a forest ranger though.”

“Buy me a nice bottle of wine when you make your first million, okay?”

“No oranges or browns.  I don’t think I look good in them.”

“The whale.”

“I don’t believe in watching a lot of television.”

“I live two lives: news anchor and parent.”

“I’d say I’m pretty even keeled.”
