This painting is my second attempt at portraying my dear friend Christine. I created a very different portrait of her in 2005.  I don’t feel like either the 2005 or the 2006 portrait quite capture what I am looking for with her, so it’s a good thing that she got married and gave me the excuse to paint another portrait of her—this time in a diptych with her husband!
