The title of this portrait means “a little walk” in French.  It’s a painting of my grandmother who passed away soon after I completed this miniature portrait of her at the beginning of 2010. 

When my Mamy died, I realized that she couldn’t help me keep up with my French roots anymore.  I no longer have the excuse of visiting her in order to get me to France.  That’s why I started writing and vlogging in French as well as in English—so that I wouldn’t lose a whole half of myself.  This video blog about the making of Un Petit Tour is my first bilingual one.
