This is one of two portraits that I painted of a Hollywood star who commissioned me: this is the other. I don’t normally paint people multiple times in order to fulfill a commission—though it does happen—but the pressure was on with an Academy Award winning subject!

This is also one of the first paintings I created with a new wide brush, which I talk about at length in this blog post. Notice the difference of brush strokes between this portrait and this one from a few months earlier.
