Kirk was a Portland street performer and comedian. He was also a friend and an inspiration. He passed away in 2012, and, in the summer of 2014, I painted a 10 by 38 foot mural of him on NE Grand at Lloyd. The process for making that piece happen was long and stressful, but the result was worth it. It was important to me and to many people in the City of Roses that Kirk be remembered.
