Artwork / Everything’s Fine / Surrounded by a Deadly Airborne Virus
I was an early adopter of the pandemic, not in that I got COVID back at the beginning—I still haven’t caught it, knock on wood—but in that I distinctly remember visiting my brother in New York in January of 2020 and joking nervously about all the people and germs I was interacting with in the Big Apple. Over the course of COVID, I’ve freaked out early and often with each new wave of bad news, and, unsurprisingly, none of it has helped.
This porcupine is the perfect pandemic portrait of me, much more so than this painting. You can watch the making of Surrounded by a Deadly Airborne Virus.
