Blog / 2020 / The #LifesaversFanArt Campaign Is Catching On!
September 23, 2020

So far, the only artists who are making #LifesaversFanArt are professionals—people like Pat Krishnamurthy, Luis Alves, Cathy Hasty, and me.

But I’m hoping that more will join in our effort. The concept is straightforward:
- Choose a pop culture character you love.
- Make an image of the character wearing a blue surgical style mask.
- Share your image widely and tag it #LifesaversFanArt!

Create the image in any medium you like. You could paint or draw or handmake a photo collage, like Luis Alves did above for his Corona Kim.

The goal is to flood the interwebs with masked up fan art to promote healthy behavior and a sense of civic responsibility during the pandemic.

The more of us who are making these images and sharing them, the more likely that those who are ambivalent about wearing a mask might feel encouraged to do it!

If Anyone Wants Me, I’ll Be Wearing a Mask.
