VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

My monthly sticker club has been going since August 2019, meaning that, for fifty consecutive months now, I’ve sent out a new sticker, magnet, or postcard with my art on it to the seventy or so people who’ve been in the club at any given time.

To celebrate the big five-oh, the next sticker I’ll be sending out is this one, a sparkly Eeyore who’s dressed up like a Progress Pride flag. The Winnie the Pooh character is known for saying “it never hurts to keep looking for sunshine” but the catchphrase for my version of Eeyore is “it never hurts to keep smashing the patriarchy.”

I chose Eeyore for my celebratory sticker because of the sparkliness obviously, but also because, if I had to sum up my last four years of art-making, this depressed donkey’s dogged devotion to dismantling gender discrimination does a pretty good job of saying it all.

Thank you for your support over the years! And if you’re not already a member, you can go over to Patreon and sign up, but you have to do that by November 30th if you want a rainbow glitter Eeyore sticker.

Maybe this post made you think of something you want to share with me? Or perhaps you have a question about my art? I’d love to hear from you!
