I painted these two double portraits from stills taken from a video that I made of my partner and I talking. Using stills from a video allowed us to be more natural than if I’d set the timer on my camera, and it’s a trick I used to get my source image for this self-portrait and this one too. You can watch the making of one side of this bag.
