This painting is the size of a business card, and that means it’s probably displaying bigger on your screen than it actually is IRL. It is one of the smallest simple portraits I’ve ever painted, but I have included small faces in larger compositions before, like with this self-portrait as a child and with the faces on the bills in the background of this image .
