It’s interesting to juxtapose this portrait of the owner of the MT Burton Gallery with these portraits of gallery owners from the beginning of my career. In 2003, the portraits were part of a strategy to be taken seriously by people who I thought might be able to make me a professional. In 2016, the point was to make a friend.
