I met Vince through a flier with tear-off phone numbers on the post office’s bulletin board, a fact that encapsulates so perfectly what it is to live in this deeply kind little town that I’m sure it sounds like I made it up. Vince was advertising a martial arts class my partner was interested in, but it turned out he’s a visual artist as well, like so many in Friend Request. Winifred, Cindy, SiriOm, Ayala, Eleanor, Kelly, and Hope all make art!
