Blog / 2020 / #LifesaversFanArt: Social Distancing, Frozen Style

September 7, 2020

Please join in this effort to make wearing a mask cool! Share this fan art, make some of your own, and tag it all #LifesaversFanArt so we can bring these inspiring works together.

The original Elsa painting is for sale for $150 plus shipping—see all currently available artworks. I can’t make prints of Social Distancing, Frozen Style available through my print-on-demand shop because Redbubble is a good little lap dog to licensing companies, but, as soon as more of the series is done, I’ll make a set of Lifesavers Fan Art postcards available through my mailing lists: sometimes, all the time, or Patreon.

Patreon Palooza showcasing the work of Donna Downey, Mindy Lacefield, Kae Pea, Elizabeth St. Hilaire, and Gwenn Seemel

Celebrating Patreon Palooza today chez Gwenn, we are focusing on Donna Downey! Here’s my mini-interview with the painter from North Carolina:

GWENN: What totally unexpected thing have you discovered about yourself in the pandemic?

DONNA: I have discovered that perspective is everything. You could be going along full speed ahead and then one day you have to change course. I think the pandemic forced me to slow down and take a deep hard look at where I was and take a look at where I really wanted to be. Not gonna lie: COVID has been a rug ripped out from under me, but again perspective is everything!

GWENN: What’s something unusual that makes you laugh in a full-on guffaw?

DONNA: Oh a good side splitting belly laugh is everything. Isn’t it funny how when we get older we don’t do it as often?? Laughter usually is contagious so, good friends, maybe a glass of wine or 2 and story time is always a possibility for a good belly laugh.

GWENN: What is your favorite character from movies, TV, or books? Why?

DONNA: Hmm...not coming up with anything for that, however if I was a singer I would be Pink. She’s a badass!

Check out Donna’s Patreon page to learn more about her Altered Book of Real Women class. The first two lessons are free!
