Unlike some other people, Harry does not like pink. That’s specifically why I included a swath of it in the background of the painting. In 2006, while working on this portrait of a man who does like pink, I put in touches of green because he’d told me he didn’t love that color. It’s got something to do with the way that a little salt makes something sweet taste sweeter.
