This is not my first painting of a cat: these two are. That said, Making Language #2 is my first image of a cat’s profile, something that’s harder to portray than I’d imagined—a lot like with profiles of people actually.

I made this piece as part of a series of painted drawings that I created to illustrate my book about why I don’t copyright my art.
