Artwork / 2024 / Magnificent Beast

This is my second self-portrait of 2024. It’s very different from the other one—and not just because of the expression. Magnificent Beast represents the first time I’ve painted while looking at myself in a mirror in many years. All the other self-portraits on this site—besides this one—show the mole on my left cheek, instead of on the right where the mirror shows it.
