This is an image that I’ve replayed multiple times over the years. I first drew it in 2011, and then I made a small painting in 2015. But only this three by three foot version of the image is meant to be a lioness instead of a lion, because it was in 2016 in Belgium that I discovered female lions can have manes as well.
