I painted my first bald eagle in 2012. Though I appreciate that artwork as well as the science book it’s a part of, I needed to make this painting of a larger female bald eagle with a smaller male in order to celebrate the US’s Semiquincentennial in 2026 as I explain in some detail in this video showing the making of Eagles.
