Wallabies are part of the same family as kangaroos, but wallabies are generally smaller, and they fill a different ecological niche. While kangaroos graze the wide open plains, wallabies are browsers whose feet are adapted for gripping rocks in rugged terrain. It’s a bit like the difference between sheep and goats—though not necessarily in the way I showed in this piece, which was inspired by the social reputation of sheep and the stubborn one of goats as explained in this video.
