To paint my portraits, I work from photos I take of my subjects during the course of an interview, and the Oregon television news personalities who participated in this series were not excused from this process. When I asked Ron to describe himself to me during the interview, he gave one of my all-time favorite answers: “I’d say I’m average...right after cute and charming!” Only a few people have failed to enjoy the portrait interview I do, and this is one of them.
