Blog / 2016 / Cleaning Up Your Art Documentation

June 27, 2016

This is doubtless not the most expert way of achieving a cleaned up image. I learned documentation and digital imaging in college, back when most galleries and institutions were still asking artists to send slides of their art—little squares of plastic that were expensive to make and hard to see! All of which is to say that most of my techniques for getting good images of my art is stuff I’ve made up over the years. It works for me, and I hope it helps you.

Some related subjects about which I can speak with much more confidence are creativity, self-promotion, and art marketing more generally.

(In the video, when I refer to meetings I was going to at Portland City Hall, I’m talking about stuff having to do with this.)

Maybe this post made you think of something you want to share with me? Or perhaps you have a question about my art? I’d love to hear from you!
