The term “end times ideation” comes from the concept of suicidal ideation—the mental space in which you think about killing yourself. I’m pretty sure I made up “end times ideation” and, for me, it sums up perfectly our collective mood.
And speaking of inventing language, the environmental philospher who coined the term “solastalgia” emailed me last summer to tell me that the art featured in this blog post is “fabulous.” (The fact that his compliment is 100% my favorite celebrity endorsement that my art has ever received reveals just about everything you need to know about who I am.)
