Download a high resolution version of this black-and-white NO KINGS art here, and please consider sending me a tip via Ko-fi!

If you want to order an artboard or a t-shirt with this coloring page image, go here in my Redbubble shop. You can peruse a bunch of my political art in my print shop here.

Also, I recommend this Teri Kanefield article, if you’re looking for more courage at the moment. It’s long, but worth finishing, especially if you love art as much as I do.

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

I am an influencer. Not the kind that can show up at a coffee shop and get a free drink because I haz all the social media followers—because, of course, I haz no social media at all. But I’m the sort of influencer who can help people feel more able to speak out in the face of all the cruelty coming out of the White House right now.

And I know this because people—friends and acquaintances—tell me all the time that the way that I write and talk about the current administration—the way I make art about the current administration with humor and pointiness and style—all of that gives them courage.

And I love that! I love that I get to be an influencer like that. Also important: I am an influencer because I am influenced by other people, by you. It’s like this amazing courage-creating machine of wonderful community.

And it is so necessary right now, because things are scary. The White House puts out fresh horribleness every day, and they’re doing it on purpose. They are trying to wear us down and make us feel completely hopeless.

Which is why I made this! Back in April I made this full-color NO KINGS poster for the Hands Off National Day of Protest. And then, when June’s big national event was dubbed the NO KINGS Protest, this full-color image became very popular in my print shop. And then, as the date got nearer and people couldn’t order from my print shop anymore—not in time to be able to receive a poster—they started contacting me directly and asking if they could get a high resolution digital copy of the image so that they could print out their own poster for themselves.

Now with the NO KINGS 2 Protest being organized for October 18th I wanted to make a NO KINGS poster that was both easier to print out because it’s black and white, but also more fun, because you get to add the color yourself! So you can download this image for free from my site, or you can tip me. You can also order versions of it like on an artboard or something like that or on a t-shirt from my print shop.

This image is actually inspired by this pin, which I found in a penny dish at a small town store. I was putting my two cents of change in the dish and this little gem leapt out at me. You know from amongst all of the Lincoln profiles, there was this Trump silhouette.

And that is the courage-creating machine at work! An influencer influenced me to make more protest art.
