Blog / 2011 / Floor Work

April 21, 2011

I’ve never liked painting at a traditional easel. Even before I got into the habit of laying down my paintings to work on them, I preferred being seated on the floor to working standing up. Maybe it has something to do with being a kid again, playing on the floor, creativity not confined to a tabletop or other conventional surface.

The finished paintings from this video are Lynn’s, Michèle’s, and Wred’s.

I talk more about all my studios in this video about how to create your ideal workspace.

Maybe this post made you think of something you want to share with me? Or perhaps you have a question about my art? I’d love to hear from you!
